Our students are primarily offered accommodation in our main College building, which offers comfortable en-suite study bedrooms.
My room is so peaceful and comfortable, a perfect place to be away from home!
Anna, second-year student
Our student accommodation is made up of single and double en-suite bedrooms. All rooms come with a bed, wardrobe, bookshelf and desk. Each accommodation area comes with a social space where students can help themselves to both hot and cold drinks.
Catering
Cliff offers full-board catering in our dining hall to all residential students. This opportunity to share meals together helps to build community with other residential students as well as with other visitors and staff members who eat meals in the dining hall.
There is also a small student kitchen, of which residential students can request use in their second and third years. Please note that, due to the size of the kitchen, this option is not offered to first year undergraduate students.
Part-time students and students on short courses receive full-board catering for the duration of their teaching week as part of their food and accommodation package.
Self-catering properties
Cliff has a small selection of self-catering flats and houses that students can apply to rent for a year. Priority is given to those who require accessible properties, or to married couples or families who would otherwise need to live off site. For more information on this option, please email enquiries@cliffcollege.ac.uk.
On-site facilities
We asked our students to describe some of the social spaces at Cliff - the Common Room, the Fishbowl, the gym and Student Digs. Here's what they said.
The Cliff College gym is my favourite place to go. It’s a great size and has enough equipment to properly and effectively train. There’s also a kitchenette which makes it easy to stay hydrated and snack up. The gym is a place where I go to be social with my gym buds and catch up, have a laugh and chat about life while getting a good workout in!
Henry, full-time student
Whenever I go to the Common Room, it's always a toss-up as to how I'm going to find it. There are days when it's full of people and you can spend some time hanging out and talking, or maybe play some table tennis or a game of pool. But there are other days when you can go there to read a book or play the piano on your own. It's a great space to spend some time, either with your own company or your friends.
For pretty much all my time at the College, there's been a games console in the Fishbowl or Student Digs. We've played FIFA and Call of Duty, and I was introduced to Minecraft at the College... that probably explains why my time spent sleeping suddenly decreased! It's a great way to get to know people over a game or two, and we've had a few tournaments that we still remember fondly. Watching TV and movies together is a great way to spend the last few weeks before Christmas as we finish up essays and wind down for the holidays.
