In 2022 the Methodist Conference agreed a target of net zero across all aspects of the Church by 2030, and Action for Hope is the name given to the process of making that target a reality. Through a focus on wisdom, assets and lifestyles we seek to engage with the theology of creation care and the practical realities of the climate crisis and support every church, circuit and district in their journey towards net zero.
Hamish Leese is the Methodist Church’s Action for Hope Implementation Officer, which means that he is responsible for supporting and co-ordinating the Church’s journey towards net zero by 2030. He comes from a background of research and analysis, and has a heart for missional and discipleship responses to environmental challenges and climate justice.
