Diploma in Mission & Evangelism
We are absolutely delighted to be working with ministry partners Message Academy this coming academic year and to be sharing in training alongside Sola Ayodeji, the new Message Academy course leader.
As part of their year long training, Cliff College is offering a Cliff College Diploma in Mission and Evangelism to those who take the Message Academy year. The Diploma includes cutting edge teaching on topics such as 'Overview of the Bible', 'Character Formation' and 'Promises of God' as well as a whole module of 'Youth Work 101'. There is also a wide range of placements serving the homeless, churches, vulnerable adults, youth groups and street outreach.
The Diploma in Mission and Evangelism offers a vast range of opportunities for spiritual development, creative growth, communication skills and personal reflection. Cliff College staff will be supporting the development of the teaching curriculum and creative assessment, and sharing that with the Message Academy students in Manchester and the students based on site at Cliff College. With a heart for mission and evangelism, it’s great to be working together for the kingdom.
Alongside the year of discipleship and mission experience that the Message Academy year offers, all participants have an opportunity to take a variety of assessments, building up a portfolio of work that leads towards a Cliff College Diploma in Mission and Evangelism. Assessed at Level 4, previous students have found this an invaluable additional qualification as they have gone onto further study or Christian mission and ministry. Assessment options include blogs, creative presentations, book reviews, journals, Bible studies, school classes, oral presentations. Successful students are invited to receive their award at the College graduation ceremony.
After a great opportunity to share the gospel in school, half of the students made a decision for Jesus – including the head teacher!
Murray – Class of 2019
Seeing young people impacted through our mission placements was a highlight. I saw them step into their own gifts and begin to shine as they went further in their discipleship journey.
Tolu – Class of 2019
I led worship in a prison service and saw men respond to the gospel. It was so encouraging to realise that I can play a part and to see how powerful the gospel is.
Evie – Class of 2017
'Having Mancunian blood, I am delighted that Cliff College continues to share training with Message Academy. The Message Trust has been a huge evangelistic influence across the city and region over many years, and the impact of their social ministries have been rightly recognised at both regional and national level. Many of us know of their Eden teams.'
