Every Woman: Woman at the Well

Cliff College is pleased to be working with Girls’ Brigade Ministries for this refreshing retreat weekend for women of all ages. This weekend has space for up to 20 women to talk, pray and reflect together, within the beautiful setting of Cliff College.

Woman at the Well

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, which adversely affect the usual Cliff College experience, this course has sadly been cancelled. We are planning to launch a number of online short courses before Christmas 2020, and a package of short courses at Cliff in the spring and summer of 2021. Keep an eye on this web page for when this course will be rescheduled, and on both the website and our social media to find out about what we’ll be offering online.

This retreat, part of our short course programme, is held in partnership between Cliff College and Girls’ Brigade Ministries, and supported through a Methodist Church Connexional Mission and Ministry Grant. The weekend will include interactive sessions, connecting with others, a walk, time to relax together, and periods of rest and quiet.

The woman at the well

A Samaritan woman and a well. You’ve heard the story. A woman craving acceptance, marred by her identity as a Samaritan. A woman who encounters Jesus and discovers the truth. A woman so overwhelmed at the greatness of God that she worships him by telling everybody in her town.

Are you longing to rediscover who God says you are?

Have you come to believe things that aren’t true?

Do you need reminding of the greatness of God?

The woman at the well shows us what it is to worship God with our whole life – both head and heart. As worshippers we drink in God’s living water, we remind ourselves who God says we are, and we give others the opportunity to know the Truth for themselves.

'They are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks,' John 4:23.

Join us as we take a fresh look at this story through guided reflections, times of discussion and creative activities.

A time to reconnect with God, relax in beautiful surroundings and allow myself to hope again based on the truths in his word. Thank you.

A valuable retreat – to learn, share, reflect and grow in faith.

A time to really talk to God, hand over all that has been weighing on my heart. A time to be ‘filled’ anew by the Holy Spirit.

The dates for this weekend are yet to be confirmed - please contact the short course administrator for more details.

The cost, in the region of £180.00, includes morning and afternoon refreshments, all meals from Friday evening to Sunday lunch, accommodation in single en-suite rooms and all teaching materials.
