Welcomed by Ian White, Senior Tutor, Cliff College, this free online training course is hosted by Gail Adcock, Family Ministries Development Officer, The Methodist Church together with Jane Butcher, Volunteer Advocate Lead, BRF and Alison Hulse, Learning & Development Officer, The Methodist Church.
The focus of the training will primarily be around family wellbeing in our current pandemic circumstances and how good support can be offered now and in the future to the families we know and work with.
As well as guidance and input by the hosts, a number of other organisations will be sharing their knowledge and learning as part of the training. There will be opportunities for personal reflection and group discussion in Session 1 and to join a series of workshops in Session 2. A 15 minute break is planned between these main sessions to grab a drink and take a comfort break. You will be encouraged to ask questions and leave comments through the Zoom chat room. This training will be recorded.
Areas being covered in the training will include:
- Family wellbeing and mental health
- Covid impact on families
- What’s happening across the UK – reflections from front line organisations
Our lead host is Gail Adcock, Family Ministries Development Officer, The Methodist Church, who heads up our very popular Certificate in Family Ministry course.
