Rev Richard Jackson

Richard Jackson 2 - Bible College

International Learning Centre Co-ordinator

Richard pioneered and now coordinates our International Learning Centre. A former Civil Servant, Richard trained as a Methodist Minister (1965-9) in Leeds and Bristol before preparing for service overseas at Selly Oak, in Birmingham. He and his medical wife Carole served in Sierra Leone for ten years (1969-79) before he returned to lead churches to growth in Bristol, Bramhall (Stockport), and Ashton under Lyne for the next twenty years. Richard came to Cliff College as Postgraduate Tutor in 2000. He was inspired in 2001 on an official visit topost-conflict Sierra Leone to set up the CCILC. In association with our partner churches we now provide training for hundreds of students overseas in Sierra Leone and Nigeria. (See reports under ILC)

Richard's own experience of studying whilst in full-time ministry has served him (and us) well both in the Postgraduate Department and since his official ‘retirement' in 2005, as he continues to coordinate this exciting and innovative programme.
